







Being a significant day for Buddhist devotees, the pagodas and temples across Myanmar has seen crowd of pilgrims, taking Sabbath, reciting Parittas, paying obeisance to the elder persons, performing good deeds on the Full Moon Day of Thadingyut or Abhidhamma Day.
Likewise, Myathalun Pagoda in Magway Region was crowded with the pilgrims due to its 2588th Buddha Pujaniya Festival, with uninterrupted recitation of Maha Pathana Dhamma Discourses as well as 9,000 oil lamps, 9,000 flowers and 9,000 joss sticks offering ceremony.
The 2588th Buddha Pujaniya Festival of the Myathalun Pagoda was organized by Magway Region Government. During the event, the congregation led by Chief Minister U Tint Lwin recited paritta suttas, offered oil lamps, flowers and water and paid homage to the pagoda. It’s learnt that, the 2588th Buddha Pujaniya Festival of the Myathalun Pagoda will be held for 20 days from 12th to 31st October.
