




Preparations are underway for successfully holding the 2,587th Buddha Pujaniya Festival of Mya Thalun Pagoda in Magway. The Buddha Pujaniya Festival of Mya Thalun pagoda is held annually and it was suspended for 2 years because of COVID-19 outbreak.
During the festival, over 1,000 shops are allowed to sell their products and among them over 300 selling shops are under construction.
Member ,Aung San ,Pagoda Board of Trustees (Mya Thalun) said " Mya Thalun Pagoda’s Buddha Pujaniya Festival is held annually. On the full moon day of Thadingyut, we will offer food or Hsoon to members of Sangha in the morning. As the tradition, 9,000 candle lights, flowers and incense will be offered to the pagoda in the evening. "
During the festival, the selling booths must follow rules and regulations of the Pagoda Board of Trustees and festivities will be arranged for the visitors.

In this year, the festival will be held for 20 days resoundingly starting from 24th October to 12th November. And, lodging houses are arranged for the convenience in accommodating nearly 1,000 visitors from other regions and states.
