Buddha Pujaniya festival: Preparation measures being undertaken for pagoda festival

Mann Shwe Sett Taw Buddha Pujaniya festival will be held on 25th January in Minbu Township, Magway Region. For this year pagoda festival, over 810 guest houses are under construction with the aim to be convenient for the pilgrims and visitors across the nation to be able to pay homage peacefully to the pagoda and to take part happily in the festival. 

According to Vice Chairman of the Pagoda Board of Trustees, the maintenance tasks along the bank of Mann creek and the water flowing system of dragon lake at the Mann Shwe Sett Taw have been completed. Likewise, the guest house construction has been completed about 40 percent and 470 food stalls have been completed and the shops are selling foods. 

Mann Shwe Sett Taw Buddha Pujaniya festival is annually held from 5th waxing of Tabodwe to 1st day of Myanmar new year. Currently, the traffic sign boards are set up along the road leading to Shwe Sett Taw pagoda for the safety of visitors and water channels are also repaired to distribute water during the festival time.
