The sacred Buddha's tooth relic from China is set to arrive in Thailand, embarking on a procession to the Sanam Luang ceremonial ground where it will be enshrined for public veneration.
Earlier on 4th December, a Thai delegation led by Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office Chousak Sirinil departed for Lingguang Temple in Beijing to escort the relic to Thailand.
Buddhist monks from both Thailand and China participated in a special ceremony before the relic was carefully placed in a vehicle for its journey to Beijing Capital International Airport.
A procession will then carry the relic from Don Mueang Air Base to Sanam Luang, covering a distance of 30 kilometers. The procession route will pass through significant landmarks such as Wat Traimit, Thai-Chinese Friendship Road and China Town.
