According to the department, citizens of the People’s Republic of China with a valid ordinary passport of at least six months’ validity may enter through any designated entry point and stay in Brunei without a visa for up to 14 days.
The policy aligns with Brunei’s commitment to strengthening ties with China, as highlighted in a joint statement issued by both countries in February 2025, which expressed Brunei’s eagerness to welcome more Chinese tourists. The increased arrivals are expected to foster mutual understanding and stronger people-to-people ties.
