Broadcast Station: SAC Chairman visits Tatmadaw TV Broadcastign Unit (Hmawby)

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit (Hmawby) on Friday.

Director of the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun and Commandant of the Tatamadaw TV Broadcasting Unit (Hmawby) reported on the process of broadcasting Myawady TV and Thazin FM, work progresses and the needs as well as the improvement of Myawady Music Troupe and Mini-Orchestra.

The SAC Chairman gave instructions on the needs for timely broadcasting of local and international news for the public knowledge. He also instructed to to broadcast the TV and Radio programs that can attract audience’ interest and educative programs.

The SAC Chairman later met with the military officers, Tatmadawmen and staff who are serving duties at the Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit (Hmawby) and made a speech. He said broadcast industry is a public relation work and it needs to strive for bringing benefits to the nation and its people.

He urged all to strive for achieving the objectives of the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare which is to inform, to entertain, to educate and to organize. He stressed that people from media industry need to have well understanding about the knowledge of local and international progress on political, economic and social matters. He pointed out the needs to make constant training for human resource development.

He also instructed to make constant maintenance for long term durability of the broadcast equipment. After the meeting, the SAC Chairman presented cash assistance to the military officers, Tatmadawmen and staff. He later viewed the work process of Outdoor Braodcasting Van and Uplink Vehicle.

The SAC Chairman and party later enjoyed the luncheon together with the staff of Tatmadaw TV Broadcasting Unit (Hmawby) with the entertainment by the Myawady Music Troupe and Mini-Orchestra. The SAC Chairman and party later toured around the settings, news studios, editing rooms and satellite rooms.

The SAC Chairman instructed to carry out the maintenance works phase by phase without halting the work schedules. They then made inspection around the Tatmadaw TV Broadcastign Unit (Hmawby) by a mortorcade.
