British primatologist Jane Goodall gives conference in Medellin, Colombia

British primatologist Jane Goodall gave a conference at the Metropolitan Theatre of Medellin, Colombia, in front of more than a thousand attendees, according to the event organizers.

She hopes that COP16 on biodiversity, to be held in Colombia in October, will be "a little more than just lots and lots of talk" around the global climate crisis. COP16, the main UN conference on biodiversity, will be held from October 21 to November 1 in Cali, where some 12,000 people, including diplomats, exhibitors and tourists, are expected to attend.
