Britain's King Charles visits Southport to meet knife attack survivors

On Tuesday, Britain's King Charles arrived at Southport town hall to cheering well-wishers, on a visit to show his support following the knife attack on 29th July which killed three young girls. He met members of the Southport community outside the town hall, before then meeting regional leaders, representatives from the emergency services and others.

The meeting included some of the surviving children as well as their families. The children were attending a dance class when an assailant entered the building and began attacking them. The attacker has been charged with murder and attempted murder. Police have said it is not being treated as terrorism-related.
