Briefing on Sarpay Beikman Project: MOI Union Minister gave necessary instructions

The Department of Printing and Publishing under the Ministry of Information, held a briefing to clarify the current status of the construction of the three-story RC Sarpay Beikman building and the efforts to relocate and open it as the Sarpay Beikman Public Library, at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on November 25.

First, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn instructed that the construction works of the three-story RC Sarpay Beikman building, being carried out with the assistance and support of the Government of India, should be of good quality and completed within the stipulated time.

The literary miniature exhibits to be displayed floor by floor and the interior decoration works should feature modern, innovative, and beautiful designs. The collection and donation system of literary art materials to be exhibited by category should be systematically organized.

As the nation's only Sarpay Beikman, the building should be modern, fresh, and bright. The relocated and opened Sarpay Beikman Public Library should be situated in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, and the building's renovation and improvement works should be systematically implemented as instructed.

Then, the Director General of the Printing and Publishing Department clarified the completion of the Sarpay Beikman construction project and the subsequent tasks to be carried out. Following that, responsible persons from the companies currently undertaking the construction explained the completion status, interior decoration, and electrical work progress.

The Chief Editor of Sarpay Beikman also clarified the renovation and maintenance work of the new building for relocating the Sarpay Beikman Public Library, as well as the related relocation processes. The Union Minister coordinated and facilitated the necessary actions based on the presentations and delivered concluding remarks.
