Bridging Development Divides: Infrastructure and education initiatives in Kachin State

A new concrete road has been constructed in Nga Oh Model Village, located in Maw Phaung Village-Tract of Myitkyina Township. The new facility was commissioned into service on Thursday as a gesture to commemorate the 77th anniversary of Union Day.

The construction of a 2,400 ft long new road was undertaken with a budget of 161.6 million kyats allocated by the Kachin State Government during the 2023-2024 fiscal year. Additionally, the State Government allocated over 36 million kyats for the construction of a new library.

In an effort to narrow the development gap between urban and rural areas, the Kachin State Government implemented the Smart Village project starting from the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
