Bridge Inspection: Inspection Of Middle Paunglaung Bridge Construction

Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay made inspection of the Middle Paunglaung Bridge construction project. The Union Minister inspected the water supply system and construction of the building to link with the main dam and hydropower system from the viewpoint. 

He also heard report on the location of Middle Paunglaung Bridge, data, allocated budget, completion and future work plans. Also, the Union Minister went to the bridge construction site and inspected the construction of the bridge and provided masks, fruits and other foodstuffs to those working on the construction.

The Middle Paunglaung Bridge was constructed by Bridge Task Force (1) of the Bridge Department under the Ministry of Construction. The 400 feet long bridge has 27 feet and 6 inches in width and it is 1.8 metres and 2.2 metres Caisson Foundation and built of Plate Girder and R.C Girder on R.C Concrete.

The project is now 65 percent completed. The Union Minister also inspected the four miles and four furlongs long Hlatsit Lankhwal-Hlay Khwin Taung-Khawma junction which will be handed over to the Ministry of Construction from the Ministry of Electricity and Energy.
