Breathtaking net-fishing moments off coast of Phu Yen Province

Between May and August, fishermen in Viet Nam’s Phú Yên Province eagerly prepare their gear for offshore trips to catch anchovies, commonly used to make dried food and traditional fish sauce.

During the anchovy fishing season, local fishermen flock to Hòn Yến Islet to catch anchovies fish. There are about 10-13 fishermen in each fishing boat. They gathered here early in the morning to cast their fishing nets.

These veteran fishermen have spent their whole lives catching fish at sea. Hòn Yến Islet is worth discovering for its pristine beauty and coral reefs that appear during low tide. Furthermore, the hidden charm of this gem includes the sight of fishermen casting nets in the turquoise waters.
