Brazil has temporarily suspended operations at a Coca-Cola production facility in Ceará state due to potential contamination concerns. The issue arose when a cooling liquid containing food-grade alcohol made unintended contact with the beverages during production.

While the alcohol is not toxic, the company halted production as a precautionary measure. Authorities confirmed that potentially affected products remain securely in inventory, preventing any risk of them reaching consumers.

The suspension will remain until the company resolves the issue and confirms the elimination of any production risks. Samples from approximately 9 million liters of soft drinks are under laboratory analysis, with results expected within five days.
