Brazil departed Qatar the day after their World Cup quarter-final exit to Croatia on penalties. The five-time winners were overwhelming favourites to claim a sixth title and after taking the lead in extra-time through Neymar - they were expected to advance to the semi-finals. But substitute Bruno Petkovic struck with just three minutes remaining and forced the game into a penalty shootout.
