A fight broke out in the Armenian parliament on 25 August. The brawl occurred after a ruling party lawmaker called some of the country's former Defense Ministers "traitors", according to Russian media.
This is the third case in three days of fighting in the Armenian parliament, Russian media reported. Earlier this month, the parliament met for the first time after acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was officially appointed to the post by the country's president, after his party won an early parliamentary election in June. Pashinyan called the early poll after months of protests demanding his resignation. They followed the unpopular November peace deal which he signed to end six weeks of fighting with Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
