Border trading : Over 300 cargo trucks transported goods via Muse route

More than 300 cargo trucks were trading import and export goods daily through Muse border trade zone between Myanmar and China in August. The main export goods are beans, sesame, aquatic products, rubbers and other food stuff and the import goods include construction materials, machines and equipment and electrical appliances.

The Vice Chairman of Muse Rice Wholesale Center said that 41 rice and paddy companies of Myanmar are allowed to trade through Muse route to China. The trading of rice and broken rice has declined now in the China border because of monsoon period.

But, trading of beans, sesame, rubber, fishery products and food stuff are being flowed and about 150 cargo trucks are transporting goods to China from Myanmar. Vice versa, China also imports construction materials, technical equipment, electrical appliances, medicines, fertilizers and so on by about 200 cargo trucks daily. That’s why, about 300 to 350 cargo trucks have transported goods through Muse route of Myanmar-China border in August.
