Border Trade: Totaling 217.62 million USD conducted via Kawthoung Post

In 2022-2023 fiscal years, the border trade has been conducted through Kawthoung border post and a total of 217.62 million USD included exports worth 23.963 million USD and imports worth 193.657 million USD were made from April 2022 to March 2023.

Len Sen Oo, Director, Ministry of Commerce, said " From April 2022 to March 2023 in 2022-2023 fiscal years, the imports items included investment products, commercial raw materials and consumer goods and agricultural products, marines’ products, industrial finished products and forest products were exported through Kawthoung border post. Also Myanmar have been exported the onions, cashews and marine products such as varieties of fishes, crabs, eels."

At present, Myanmar has been conducting border trade with foreign countries through Kawthoung, Muse, Chin Shwe Haw, Kengtung, Sittway, Maungtaw, Tachilek and Myawaddy border posts and so on.
