Myanmar nationals are returning from China through the Myanmar-China border gate and border trades are working their operation during the COVID-19 period.

Led by Township COVID-19 prevention committee, the disinfectant spraying on truckloads and the exchange of truckloads’ drivers have being conducted at Myanmar-China border gate at Chin Shwe Haw in Laukkai Township of Kokang Self-Administered Zone in Northern Shan State.

In-Charge, Border Gate Inspection Team (Chin Shwe Haw), Ye Tun said "As the preventive measures of the disease, the drivers of the trucks are not allowed to enter to China side. They have to be substituted before entering to China side after spraying disinfectant on the truckloads.
Due to the restriction of the disease and related procedures from both sides, the flow of the commodity is slow at the moment."

Due to the restrictions of the disease, a long line of the trucks are waiting to transport the goods at the gate.

Township Police Force distributed free surgical masks and drinking water bottles to the drivers and bus conductors on 27th of September, according to the Information and Public Relations department.
