The Viet Nam’s Identity Law of 2023 officially went into effect on July 1, 2024, allowing citizens under 14 to receive ID cards for the first time upon request. In remote, mountainous areas with challenging terrain, issuing ID cards for children poses many difficulties. However, local officials are working tirelessly to assist in issuing ID cards to these young citizens.

As part of the “90 days and nights of rapid ID issuance” campaign, Phìn Hồ Commune aims to issue ID cards to all children under 14 by September 30. The ID card saves time and effort for parents and children, while enhancing the efficiency of the National Population Database, Identity Database, and electronic identification accounts. This will contribute to a strong foundation for e-Government.
