Border Areas and National Races Dev’t: Work committee holds meeting No. 1/2023

The Work Committee for the Development of Border Areas and National Races held its work coordination meeting No.1/2023 at the Ministry of Border Affairs on Friday.

Chairman of the Work Committee Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung said that measures will be undertaken for sustainable development of socio-economic life of national races and basic infrastructures in border areas and ensuring ethnic youths in the border areas to become outstanding human resources in accord with the objectives and the relevant working sub-committees and the regional working committees are urged to participate in the work programs with earnest efforts.

Later, the secretary of the work committee reported on decisions of the Central Committee’s work coordination meeting  No. (1/2023), plan to reform the working sub-committees and regional work committees, the annual  financial report and implementations of border area development tasks with region and state funds.

Members of the work committee reported on progress of works, future plans as well as strong and weak points in carrying out the tasks and attendees made a general round of discussion. Afterwards, Chairman of the Work Committee coordinated essentials on the reports.
