Border Affairs: Union Minister inspects development activities

Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung visited Kayin State Development Supervision Office in Hpa-An Township on November 3.

The Union Minister urged concerned officials and staff to complete the construction works on time with quality, to try to become a good citizen with a strong union spirit and outstanding talent, and to pay attention to the staff matters.

On November 4, the Union Minister visited the border area ethnic youth mechanical training school, and inspected the training hall, practical workshops, dormitories and mess.

Also, he inspected the Kayin State Department of Education and Training, Border Areas and National Races Department, and Hpa-An Township Development Supervision Office and clarified the agriculture, livestock and welfare issues.

The Union Minister also met trainees, employees and officials from the Women’s Vocational Training School of Department of Education and Training in Hpa-An, provided school uniforms, stationery, books and sports equipment for the trainees, and inspected training campus, library, dormitory and restaurants.

At the Border Ethnic Youth Development Training School, he inspected student dormitory, mess and library, and progress of building the 100 KVA transformer sub-power station.
