Bolsonaro campaigns in north ahead of elex run-off

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Saturday campaigned in three states of the northeast. Bolsonaro went to Teresina, Fortaleza and São Luis, greeting supporters and making a speech in all three cities.

The northeast region has 9 of the 14 states that his opponent Lula da Silva won in the first round. Nationally, the leftist Workers' Party candidate came close to an outright victory in the first round, receiving over 48% of the votes. Far-right Bolsonaro got 43%.
