Bolsonaro attends LatAm's biggest rodeo show

Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro traveled to Latin America's biggest rodeo, in an attempt to show his connection with voters from the countryside that will help him gain ground ahead of October's vote.

The far-right leader entertained the crowd by rounding off his short address with a cowboy-style shout and riding a horse through the arena waving to the stands with his hat.

The multi-day spectacle in the municipality of Barretos had tens of thousands of attendees. Many of them decked out in the national colors of green and canary yellow that Bolsonaro has transformed into symbols of support for his administration.

He also came to Barretos in 2019. He visited the city on three other occasions during his career as a lawmaker during efforts to get one of his sons.
