Bolivia cuts diplomatic ties with Israel over Gaza conflict

Bolivia said on Tuesday it was severing diplomatic ties with Israel in the Gaza Strip after a deadly Hamas attack. The government has decided to cut diplomatic relations with Israel, after the Israeli military offensive being carried out in the Gaza Strip, deputy foreign minister told a press conference.

Bolivian Minister in the Presidency also announced the country was sending humanitarian aid to Gaza. Bolivia only announced it was restoring ties with Israel in 2019, a decade after they were cut over previous attacks on the Gaza Strip. The decision by Bolivia comes after Colombia called for Israel's ambassador to leave the country before rowing back the comments in a diplomatic spat over the offensive.
