The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has demanded the swift completion of reforms initiated by the interim government, alongside holding the national elections by December this year. BNP held a crucial meeting with Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka.
The party also demanded that the government announce a clear roadmap for the upcoming elections. In addition to election-related demands, BNP Standing Committee members called for the removal of the National Security Adviser along with two student advisers, citing concerns amid the ongoing political crisis.
Meanwhile, Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus separately met with leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and the National Citizen Party, seeking to engage multiple political stakeholders during this critical period.
