BMW Unveils new electric car to rival Tesla

Days before the opening of the Munich car fair, German automaker BMW has revealed its highly anticipated electric concept car, the “Vision Neue Klasse.” With this new design, BMW aims to usher in a new era for the company as it prepares for the production of its next generation of electric vehicles.

The first electric vehicles based on this new architecture are scheduled to enter production in 2025. BMW says it will offer an electric model in each of its core market segments by the end of this year, and by the end of 2025 it aims for more than a quarter of all sales to be electric models. By the end of 2026, BMW expects electric models to account for a third of its sales worldwide.
