Blinken meets with deputy Ethiopian PM in Addis Ababa

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met Ethiopian Foreign Minister DemekeMe konnen in Addis Ababa on Wednesday.

Blinken was referencing a peace deal, brokered last year, that ended hostilities in Ethiopia’s northern Tigray region.  The top US diplomat urged Ethiopia to "deepen the peace" and hoped to restore cooperation "with the goal of strengthening the relationship" with Ethiopia amid a push by President Joe Biden to deepen relations with Africa.
