Blinken meets Abbas on West Bank visit as fighting rages in Gaza

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made visit to the West Bank on Sunday and met with Palestinian Authority president Mahmud Abbas.
The meeting was his second with Abbas since the conflict began, but the first to take place in the West Bank. Their meeting comes as global concern grows over rising violence in the occupied territory in tandem with the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. Blinken arrived in Ramallah one day after meeting in Jordan with Arab foreign ministers.
