Blinken departs to Jordan following Israel visit

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday departed Tel Aviv to Jordan where he'll be participating in an emergency aid summit for Gaza, jointly organized by Egypt and the United Nations. Blinken's visit to Israel was part of a drive by the United States to secure a ceasefire in the eight-month war between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas.
