Biodiversity of Ecuador's small forest equals that of larger reserves

A forest located between the Andes and the Amazon in Ecuador is home to 285 species of amphibians and reptiles, equal to the amount of species found in natural reserves such as the Manu National Park in Peru, which is 18 times larger.

Experts of the National Institute of Biodiversity have worked during years registering species of the rich Llanganates-Sangay ecological corridor in Ecuadorean Andes.
