Bilateral Tourism Cooperation: MOHT Union Minister meets with Thai Ambassador

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism, Dr. Thet Thet Khaing, received Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar, Mr. Mongkol Visitstump, on Thursday.

During the meeting, they discussed matters related to cooperation in the bilateral tourism industry, the implementation of the MOU on tourism cooperation, the formation of a tourism promotion task force with representatives from both government and private sectors, planning for FAM (Familiarization) trips, inviting investors from Thailand to Myanmar's hotels and tourism sector, reciprocal discussions among private entrepreneurs of both countries, arranging tour packages to attract visitors from Thailand to Myanmar, facilitating convenient payment systems for Thai tourists in Myanmar, and promoting cooperation between the two countries in both government and private sectors.
