Bilateral Relations: SAC Chairman receives Russian delegation in Taunggyi

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Tuesday evening received the Russian delegation led by Mr. Sholban Kara-Ool, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in Taunggyi of Shan State.

This meeting focused on acceleration of closed bilateral relations as this year marks the 75th anniversary of Myanmar-Russia diplomatic relations, promotion of bilateral cooperation on various sectors, cooperation for development of transport and electricity generation sectors in Myanmar, sending scholars to Russia for science, technology and human resources development, aid to cyclone-affected areas in Myanmar, mutual tourism sector and meeting with the Union Election Commission and the conditions that Russia will assist in making the election free and fair in Myanmar.

After the meeting, the Senior General and the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma exchanged memorable gifts.
