Bilateral Relations: PM receives Russian Ambassador in Nay Pyi Taw

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thayay Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing attended a ceremony to confer Wunna Kyaw Htin title to Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Dr. Nikolay Listopadov in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

After reading out the title conferring order by the official, the Prime Minister presented the honorary title and insignia to the ambassador for their outstanding performance in an efforts for enhancing friendship and cooperation between Myanmar and Russia.

The Prime Minister said this is the very first time for conferring the honorary title to Russian Ambassador and added that it is paving way to confer such kind of titles to the ambassadors for their efforts in international arena.

Russian Ambassador Dr Nikolay Listopadov expressed thanks for conferring the honorary title and pledged to continue cooperation for bilateral relations and cooperation. The two sides later discussed matters on promoting bilateral trade, economic cooperation, tourism, education, health, industry, science and technology, sports and cultural sectors.
