Bilateral relation and cooperation: MoH Union Minister received Chinese Ambassador

The ambassador of the People’s Republic of China and members paid a courtesy call to the Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 10th September.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the matters concerning the enhancement of cooperation in the health sector, based on friendly relation and mutual respect. They reviewed how Myanmar is actively participating in health collaborations with Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states.

They also covered issues related to collaborative efforts between the medical universities and healthcare institutions of both countries, as well as the development and increased cooperation in traditional medicines and traditional medical universities.

They addressed the enhancement of capabilities of the Myanmar Disease Control and Training Institute and the training programs for its staff. Additionally, they discussed collaborative efforts in cardiology and cardiovascular surgery. The discussions included deepening health care cooperation based on the close bilateral relationship between Myanmar and China, with a focus on mutual understanding and care.
