Bilateral Cooperation: MoEP Union Minister receives Russian delegation

Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han received a delegation led by Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Dr. NikolyaListopadov who has completed his tour of duty in Myanmar at the office No. 27 of Ministry of Electric Power on Tuesday.

During the meeting, they discussed Russia’s assistance for development of electricity sector in Myanmar and future cooperation, signing of MOU based on the discussions between leaders of two countries and visits to renewable energy and thermal power plants in Russia.

They extensively discussed plans for cooperation in various energy sectors using resources such as hydropower and wind power, and the opportunities for cooperation projects with local companies from Myanmar in electricity sector.
