





Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with Indian Prime Minister Mr Shri Narendra Modi in Bangkok on Friday.
The two leaders are in Thailand to attend the 6th BIMSTEC Summit. During the meeting, the Indian Prime Minister expressed his deepest condolences for the loss of lives and properties caused by the severe earthquake, and pledged to continue providing humanitarian assistance to the affected community.
The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the Indian goverment and its people, and stressed to share experience on rehabilitation efforts from the disaster. The meeting focused on promoting friendship and cooperation between the two countries, while emphasizing on ensuring peace, stability and prosperity of Myanmar.
They also exchanged views on combating human trafficking and smuggling of weapons in border areas, and preparation measures for holding free and fair multi-party democratic general election in coming December.
