President Joe Biden appealed for Congress to pass an assault weapons ban in wake of deadly school shooting in Nashville. Joe Biden, U.S. President said “Last year, we came together to pass more significant gun safety legislation in 30 years. It was bipartisan.

We got it done. And don't tell me we can't do more together. So I again call on Congress to pass the assault weapons ban passage. It should not be a partisan issue. It's a commonsense issue.” The violence Monday at The Covenant School is the latest school shooting to roil the nation. Three students were killed, as well as the head of the grade school, a custodian and a substitute teacher.
