Biden to visit Viet Nam on September 10: White House

US President Joe Biden is traveling to Viet Nam next month for a meeting with the leader of the ruling Communist Party Nguyen Phu Trong and other Vietnamese leaders, the White House announced on Monday. Biden will arrive in Hanoi on September 10 after attending the annual summit of the G20 leaders in India.

White House Press Secretary said Biden and Vietnamese leaders would "promote the growth of a technology-focused and innovation-driven Vietnamese economy," as well as expanding education exchanges. The discussions will also tackle ways to "combat climate change, and increase peace, prosperity, and stability in the region."
