Biden returns home after D-day trip in France

President Biden returned home on Sunday after spending five days in France. While there, the president marked the 80th anniversary of D-Day and met with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Biden made a number of statements stressing the importance of working with allies. On the last day of his five-day tour, Biden visited the sprawling Aisne-Marne American Cemetery and Memorial near the village of Belleau in northern France. During the visit, Biden saluted military officers standing beside a floral wreath at the bottom of the steps of a cemetery chapel.
