U.S President Joe Biden spoke before the Congressional Black Caucus on Saturday in Washington DC.

In remarks at Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Phoenix Awards, Biden covered a number of issues, from the recent damage inflicted by hurricane Ian, to the appointment of the first Black woman Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. He also spoke about his recent signing of the Safer Communities Act, the first major federal gun legislation to be passed since the Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994.
