Biden and Trudeau toast as allies and friends

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife hosted US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden for a dinner at the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa. The two leaders were using the occasion to celebrate the U.S.-Canada relationship.

Biden, making his first visit to Canada as president, said that the U.S. was lucky to have Canada as its neighbor—particularly at a moment when the two nation’s grapple with a rapidly changing global economy, climate change and other complications.
