Bid Farewell: Nepalese Rescue Team completes their tour of duty

A team of 16 Nepalese medical professionals concluded their humanitarian deployment in Myanmar and returned to their home country on Friday.

They were seen off by senior officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement at the Nay Pyi Taw Military Airport. The Nepalese team had been delivering critical medical and rehabilitation services in earthquake-affected areas in close coordination with Myanmar’s fire brigade members, local volunteers, military personnel and police force.
