Better Transportation: New road opened in Magway Region

Hailing the 78th anniversary Union Day, a new concrete road was opened in Ywathaya Village in Minbuu Township of Magway Region on January 28th.

Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended the opening ceremony and took part in the ceremonial ribbon cutting event. In his speech, the Chief Minister urged local community for long term durability of the new facility which could help promote socio-economic development of the region. With the use of over 9 billion kyat budget allotment during 2024-2025 fiscal year, 48 roads and 56 bridges have been implemented in Magway Region.

Upon completion, these facilities could contribute better transportation access to more than 640,000 residents from 861 villages in the region. The new opened concrete road connects Ywathaya Village to Minbuu-Min Hla Road, providing swift flow of commodity with easy access of transporting agricultural products from more than 3,100 acres plantations in a short period of time and less expenses.
