Better Transportation: New road opened in Kayin State

In observance of the 78th Union Day, the Kayin State Rural Road Development Department unveiled a new concrete road at the Parami Bridge entrance in HlarKaMyin village tract on Saturday.

Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo, accompanied by other officials, launched the event with a ceremonial ribbon cut. The Chief Minister highlighted the crucial impact of the new road in improving access to education, healthcare and economic opportunities for rural communities by strengthening local transportation networks.

He also noted its role in facilitating faster, cost-effective transport of goods to markets and urged collective efforts to maintain and sustain infrastructure. The 14-foot-wide, 1.03-mile-long road is built by ShwePha Si Company with over 447 million kyats in state capital funds.

The new road connects vital routes including the Hpa-An-Hlaing Bwe road, Mae Baung-KawtHtaw road, and Mizan-Naung Ka Myaing road, providing better transportation access for local community.
