Better Transportation: Chaung Wa Bridge Being Constructed In Ayeyawady Region

For a better transportation of the locals, Chaung Wa Bridge is being constructed in Ngayokekaung town, Pathein District of Ayeyarwaddy region.  

The new facility was started to construct on March, 2020 with over 500 million kyats of regional government fund and the remaining construction tasks will be carried out with over 2,100 million kyats of 2020-2021 fiscal year budget allotment.

The Special Bridge Construction Group-16of Ministry of Construction is undertaking the bridge construction. 

Junior Civil Engineer-1, Special Bridge Construction Group-16, Win Cho said “ChaungWa bridge is 1,280-ft in length, 24-ft in width and over 3-ft wide pedestrian lane on both sides and the foundation is bore-pile and RC concrete structure.”

Chaung Wa bridge is situated on Ngayokekaung- Gaw Yan Gyi Island road and it’s a part of coastal road project that is being implemented.
