





Yangon Region Transport Committee (YRTC) is making efforts for providing better services to the commuters who rely its YBS bus service for daily commuting.
There are more than a million passengers, using the YBS buses for daily transportation.
YRTC is working to provide a good service system with safe and secure transportation to the passengers. An official pointed during a media conference, held at YRTC office on 11th May.
The official also explained that actions are being taken to those YBS buses that violate rules and regulations.
Moreover, YPS Mobile Pay Application was introduced at the event for the convenience of the passengerto pay bus fares with QR code through smart phone.
Joint Secretary, Yangon Region Transport Committee (YRTC), Lyan Cin Mang, said " We are carrying out to provide safe, secure and good services for the passengers. Currently, about 3,500 buses out of 118 lines are operating in Yangon City. As a technical part, the YBS buses have been monitored from the Yangon Buses Operator Control Center and taken actions to the buses that drive exceeding the limited speed."
Other issues such as installation of new embossed number plates and replacing the outdated model buses with EV buses were also explained during the press conference.
