





In honour of the Peasants’ Day, a new 4-storey building was opened at the Orthopaedic Hospital in Mandalay on Friday.
After formal opening of the new building by cutting the ceremonial ribbon, and the stone inscription was opened by sprinkling scented water, Union Minister for Health Professor Dr Thet Khaing Win, Chief Minister and guests toured around the new facility.
In the subsequent ceremony, the Union Minister gave a speech, calling for cooperative efforts in long term existence of the facility. He also expressed thanks to all involved persons in contributing for construction of the new building. Mandalay Orthopaedic Hospital provides treatment and physical tharapy services to the patients during week days.
Moreover, the hospital provides training to Ph.D and Master degree as well as the nursing diploma for orthopaedics. The newly opened 4-storey building was constructed by Construction Special Group (6) under the Ministry of Construction, by spending over 2 billion kyats.
