Benin showcases traditional culture with mask festival

A colourful parade marked the end of Benin’s three-day festival in the capital Porto Novo, as scores of participants, dance to traditional music, wearing elaborate religious costumes and masks, parading through the capital, thrilling locals, diginitaries, and visitors alike. Organized by the government, and held from August 2nd to the 4th, the festival aims to showcase the region's diverse traditions and religious beliefs.
