Belu Creek No.2 Hydropower Plant: Efforts for soonest receding of water and re-operation

Efforts are being made for receding of water, inundated in the Belu Creek No.2 Hydropower Plant. Local authorities provide necessary assistance in the efforts for preventing further inflow of water into the facility.

On Sunday, Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin visited the site for construction new embankment between No.1 and No.2 power plants. About 90% of the works have already completed, and it could help prevent from inflow of water into the No.2 power plant.

The Chief Minister also visited the No.2 power plant to assess the condition of water receding. Since September 30th, Belu Creek No.2 Hydropower Plant has been inundated due to the surge of Belu Creek, and efforts are being accelerated for soonest receding of water and re-operation of the power plant.
