Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko attended a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by the Kremlin wall in Moscow on the second day of an official visit to Russia.

The ceremony was held on the eve of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Russia's victory in World War II, known in the country as the Great Patriotic War. The ceremony participants observed a minute of silence to honor the memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War.

The National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus was played during the ceremony. Then, Aleksandr Lukashenko laid flowers at the memorial plates in the Alley of Hero Cities in the Alexander Garden.
